“A house becomes a home when the client’s personality is evident. It is our responsibility to bring that marriage of design and character together whilst balancing the essentials of function and comfort.”
~ Lucy Mayers
Lucy Mayers began her career with Robert Kime, running his Kensington showroom and smaller retail projects for 6 years before joining Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler in 2013. She trained with Emma Burns for 10 years before being made a decorator in her own right in 2023, and was made an Associate Director in 2026.
Decorating a variety of projects in England and abroad, her most recent work includes townhouses in London and Melbourne.
House & Garden have described her work as “theatrical” with an “instinctive sense for how to create a comfortable, liveable interior amidst the theatrics”. She believes wholeheartedly in drawing out the client’s own aesthetic and imprinting their vision on her design, whilst being true to the house and its environment.
